Product & Availability

Q. What types of Dutch products do you sell?

A. We focus on staples like liquorice, stroopwafels, biscuits and sauces.

As we primarily ship our products to customers, we don't offer perishables and refrigerated products like dairy or frozen meat products.

Q. Do you stock authentic Dutch brands?

A. Yes, brands from Venco to Remia and everything in between.

Q. Can you get products not currently listed on your website?

A. Absolutely. We're always adding new products to our store, but we realise that sometimes there's something specific you want to get and we're more than happy to try and help you get it.

On the form on our 'contact us' page you can select "product request" from the dropdown to tell us what you're after and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Shipping & Delivery

Q. Which areas of Australia do you deliver to?

A. We ship Australia wide using Australia Post and we offer free Click & Collect in Brunswick, Victoria.

Q. What are your delivery costs?

A. We have a flat rate of $12.95 for all normal orders.

We also have free Click & Collect in Brunswick Victoria.

Q. Do you offer express/same-day delivery options?

A. We don't offer express or same-day delivery, but we do offer free same-day Click & Collect.

Q. What happens if my order is incorrect or arrives damaged?

A. Easy. That's on us.

For damaged or defective items, we will cover the return shipping costs and offer you a choice of replacement or refund. A refund will be provided if a replacement is not available. Please send us an email on returns@shopdutch.com.au or message us on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp.

Special Occasions & Seasonal Products

Q. When do you prepare for Sinterklaas?

A. We send out pre-order emails by the middle of the year and our stock comes in through October and November.

Q. What about King's Day, Liberation Day and Sint Maarten?

A. We don't currently stock specific products for these occasions, but we're always exploring new options. Let us know what you'd like to see!

Q. What about oliebollen for New Year's?

A. We hear you. The best oliebollen are fresh oliebollen and we're in the process of getting this organised.

Q. What if I want to place a special order like gift hampers, personalised products or place a bulk order?

Payment & Orders

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

A. We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

Q. How do I use my discount code?

A. On the checkout page you'll find a box named "discount code". Simply fill in your discount code and click apply.

Q. Can I modify or cancel my order after placing it?

A. If you change your mind about an order or wish to make changes, please get in touch as soon as possible through email or through a message on Facebook, Instagram or WhatsApp and if possible we'll be able to cancel or modify your order.

Q. How can I re-order something that I've ordered before?

A. When you order with Shop Dutch the first time, you'll have the option to create an account. When you do, your order history will be saved and you can simply log into your account the next time you want to order something and select the "reorder" option in your account.

Q. Do you offer a subscription service for regular favourites?

A. Not yet, but we hope to have this soon!

Product Information

Q. Are your products suitable for specific dietary requirements? (vegetarian, gluten-free, etc.)

A. On all our products you can spot a badge to indicate whether or not a product is vegan, gluten-free and or lactose-free.

In addition to that we also list all the ingredients for every product as provided by the manufacturer.

We do our best to ensure that this information is as accurate as possible. However, as products are regularly improved, product information such as ingredients, nutritional values, dietary or allergy information may change.

Q. How should I store Dutch food products once received?

A. This differs per product, but generally we recommend you store Dutch products the same way as you would store products from the supermarket.

For most products this means storing them in a dark and cool place.

Q. Do you sell products past their expiry date?

A. No. We don't sell products that are past their expiry date or close to their expiry date.

We might occasionally offer special deals on products that are close to their expiry date, but they will be clearly marked as such.

If a product past its expiry date somehow arrived at your doorstep, please let us know and we'll refund you.

Q. Where is Shop Dutch based?

A. We're based in Brunswick, Victoria.

Q. Do you have a store that I can visit?

A. No. Although our Click & Collect point is a wonderful Dutch cafe that has lots of fresh Dutch products. You can read more about the cafe here: Mokum

Q. Can I place an order online and collect it in person?

A. Yes. We offer free Click & Collect in Brunswick, Victoria at the Dutch cafe "Mokum".

A. Our Click & Collect point is the Dutch cafe "Mokum". Below are their opening hours.
